The Hook Lighthouse

The Hook Lighthouse inspired by winter trips to Co.Wexford, and my love of lighthouses. Hook Lighthouse is a medieval lighthouse off the south coast of County Wexford. It is thought to be one of the oldest operational lighthouses in the world. When the lighthouse at Hook became fully automated in 1996, there was no longer any need for resident keepers. It was decided then to open it up to the public, and if you are in the area, it is well worth a visit.

Painted by hand on snow white fused glass,  and fired in a kiln over 48 hours at very high temperatures. Comes framed in a black frame with dark blue border, made locally, ready for hanging on a wall. Also available in a cream frame -Made to order.
